Shrimpboat Sound

Shrimpboat Sound, February 1997

Most of our friends know that we're Parrotheads (that means Jimmy Buffett fans to the rest of you). Jimmy has recorded some of his recent albums down in this shack in Key West, known as Shrimpboat Sound. We went looking for it during our February '97 trip to Cayo Hueso. Using the information provided by Jimmy in his Barometer Soup album liner notes, "across from the Schooner Wolf," and some information from friends on the 'net, we found the "sacred site" one afternoon. If you look closely at the picture, you'll see the transom of the Wolf.

The lone identifying mark of the place is on the door, a sticker with the name misspelled "Srimpboat Sound":
